RIGHT SKATE
S t e p   1 :   Locate the right Skate
Chassis and Boot. The boot-
installation tool is factory-installed on
the right skate.
Step 2: Place the boot on the skate as shown.  Align
the mounting holes with those on the boot cleat and
insert the Boot Binding Bolt(43) into one side. Insert
the Binding Screw into the other side (wiggle again if
necessary).  Tighten screws until the threads bottom
out.
Step 3: Tighten the Boot Cleat Adjust Screw* (41)
against the bottom of the boot. Be careful not to
overtighten this screw or you could deform the bottom
of the boot.
*This screw is difficult to turn.
Step 4: Attach the Ratchet Clasp(22) to the Ratchet
Strap(36) and adjust the brakes*. With the brakes
adjusted, you may wish to trim the ratchet strap.  This
is done by by scoring it with a knife and breaking it off
with your hands (leave 1.5” extra for future adjustment).
*Refer to your owner’s manual for brake-adjustment instructions.
Step 5: Remove the Boot Installation Tool. Lift the heel
of the boot up ~45o, and pass the tool over the tire.
The tool can now be easily removed from the Boot Cleat,
and used to helpinstall the Left boot. Never ride a
skate with the boot installation tool still attached!

Step 6: Rotate the Boot Cleat away from the front
wheel. Notice that you are going CLOCKWISE as
shown in the photo! You should feel the binding spring
resisting you during this step.
Step 7: Insert the metal end of the tool into the small
hole in the Boot Cleat, and use the tool to wind the
Boot Cleat to the riding position.
Step 8: Pull the tool up and over the wheel, and hook
it on the frame-side of the rear wheel as shown.
Step 9: Repeat steps 2 - 5 for Installation of the Left Boot.
Step 10: Check that both heels are held firmly
to the frame of the skates by the binding spring.
If either heel is set up so that the heel springs
away from the frame, then it is installed
incorrectly.
