DEFINABLE 1 / DEFINABLE 2
Two knobs labeled DEFINABLE are located on the control panel of the Virus. These can be used for direct
control of a number of parameters that are not normally assigned to dedicated knobs.
DEFINABLE 1 MODE
Selects the operating mode of the DEFINABLE 1 knob. You can select from:
SINGLE
The destination of the DEFINABLE 1 knob is defined via the Display page entitled
DEFINABLE 1 SINGLE  (see paragraph below). If you set it to OFF, then the alternative
setting in the Display page -  DEFINABLE 1 GLOBAL - is active.
GLOBAL
The destination of the DEFINABLE 1 knob is always defined via the Display page entitled
DEFINABLE 1
GLOBAL (see paragraph below). When you select the position GLOBAL,
individual DEFINABLE SINGLE  settings are deactivated.
MIDI
The knob sends a variable MIDI Controller via the current PART’s channel to MIDI OUT.
For instance, this feature lets you control the parameters of another connected MIDI
device. You can set the number of the MIDI Controller in the Display page DEFINABLE 1
MIDI (see paragraph below).
DEFINABLE 1 SINGLE
This is where you enter the parameter assignment for the DEFINABLE 1 knob. The entry is an element of
the current SINGLE PROGRAM and is stored along with it. The entry is only active when DEFINABLE 1
MODE is set to SINGLE. When DEFINABLE 1 SINGLE is set to OFF, the Display page setting DEFINABLE
1 GLOBAL is activated.
