Quasar 50 - 100 - 125 - 180
If the mixer oil reserve light () stays on
after the engine is running or comes on
during normal engine operation, it means
that engine oil pressure in the circuit is low.
In this case, immediately stop the engine
and top up.
CAUTION
Never move off abruptly with a cold en-
gine. To reduce emissions and fuel con-
sumption, ride slowly until covering sever-
al miles to warm the engine up to
operating temperature.
CAUTION
If starting fails with
the electric starter, use the ≈kick-start∆ ped-
al (2).
STARTING WITH FLOODED ENGINE
If the starting is not carried out properly or if
there is too much fuel in the intake ducts
the engine may get flooded.
To clean a flooded engine:
Rotate the choke lever  ≈∆ (3) leftwards.
Press the starter button ≈ ∆ (1) for a few
seconds (letting the engine crank) with
the throttle fully pressed.
STARTING THE ENGINE FROM COLD
If ambient temperature is low (close to or
below 0°C), you may have trouble starting
the engine at the first attempt.
If so:
Rotate the choke lever  ≈∆ (3) leftwards.
Hold down the starter button ≈ ∆ (1) for
at least ten seconds and press the throt-
tle slightly.
If the engine starts:
Release of the throttle.
Rotate the choke lever  ≈∆ (3) right-
wards.
If idle speed is erratic, press the throttle
moderately several times.
If the engine fails to start
Wait a few seconds and repeat the starting
procedure.
STARTING AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF
INACTIVITY
If the vehicle has been left unridden for a
long time, crank the engine with the starter
motor for about ten seconds, do not accel-
erate, in order to ensure the filling of the
float chamber.
To start the engine, slightly accelerate and
carry out the starting procedure.
