PCI-X expansion cage 

  

 

CAUTION:

  To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and 

remove all AC power cords before removing or installing the PCI expansion cage. 

  

To remove the component: 

1. 

Power down the server. 

2. 

Do one of the following: 

o 

Unlock and remove the bezel ("

o 

Extend the server from the rack (on page 

3. 

Remove the access panel. 

4. 

Remove the rack bezel (rack servers only) ("

5. 

Remove the four T-15 screws from the hard drive cage, and then slide the hard drive cage partially 
out of the chassis. 

 

6. 

Disconnect any external cables from the PCI-X expansion boards. 

7. 

Disconnect the power cable extension and the signal cable from the PCI-X expansion cage.
