Self-diagnosis function
The unit is equipped with the self-diagnosis function that works to prevent the VCR from malfunctioning. A two-
digit service number appears in the display window. In this case, check the following table.

To prevent the unit from malfunctioning, the self-

• Disconnect the power cord. After reconnect it,
operate the unit.
• Remove the cassette or turn on/off the unit.
