You can select the maximum zoom level. 
Note that the image quality decreases when 
you use the digital zoom.

Up to 14× zoom is performed.
120×
Up to 120× zoom is performed digitally.
Note
When [ STEADYSHOT] is set to other 
than [ACTIVE], up to 10× zoom is performed 
optically.
 AUTO BACK LIGHT
Your camcorder adjusts the exposure for 
backlit subjects automatically. 
 ON
Adjusts the exposure for backlit subjects 
automatically.
OFF
Does not adjust the exposure for backlit 
subjects.
 DIAL SETTING
You can select an item you want to set to 
the MANUAL dial. For details, see page 31.
 NIGHTSHOT LIGHT
When using the NightShot (p. 30) function, 
you can record clearer images by activating 
[NIGHTSHOT LIGHT], which emits 
infrared light (invisible).
 ON
Emits infrared light.
OFF
Does not emit infrared light.
Notes
Do not cover the infrared port (p. 121) with 
your fingers or other objects.
Remove the conversion lens (sold separately).
The maximum shooting distance using 
[NIGHTSHOT LIGHT] is about 3 m (10 feet).

The zooming zone appears when you select 
[120×].
