EDELBROCK CAT-BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM
For 2004-2006 Nissan Titan, Extended / Crew Cab,
Short Bed, 5.6L V8, 2 & 4 WD

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
Please study these instructions carefully before installing your new Cat-Back Exhaust System. If you have any questions,

SUGGESTED TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION:
❑ 3/8" ratchet set with SAE and metric deep sockets
❑ Jackstands and jack
❑ Liquid penetrant and rubber lubricant
DISASSEMBLY
1.
Raise vehicle and support with proper
jackstands for the weight, leaving the
suspension hanging.
2.
Use caution around hot exhaust systems to
avoid burns.
3.
Use penetrating oil on all nuts and bolts.
4.
Measure 10” from the back of the factory Y-pipe
hanger bracket and cut the factory intermediate
pipe.
5.
Remove the bolts and clamps from the system
and lubricate the rubber isolators to ease
removal.
6.
Use a long pry bar to pull the rubber hangers out
of the OE insulators.
7.
Remove the old system. In some cases, you will
find it easier to cut the overaxle pipe to remove
it.
WARNING: Exhaust gas contains carbon monoxide, a deadly invisible gas.  Correct any leaks before
driving!
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer.  Improper installation will void warranty and may
result in poor performance and engine or vehicle damage.
ASSEMBLY
1.
Clamp the intermediate pipe (#25-3241) to the
factory Y-pipe with a 2-1/2” band clamp and just
snug the clamp at this time.
2.
Slip the muffler onto the intermediate pipe with a
3” band clamp on the front. Inlet of muffler is
stamped in the nipple.
3.
Install hanger clamp assembly (#23-4078) onto
outlet end of muffler. Clamp will be offset toward
rear of vehicle, engage hanger into the stock
rubber isolator. Slip the overaxle pipe over the
rear end and into the muffler outlet.
4.
Slide hanger clamp assembly (#23-4079) onto
outlet of overaxle pipe and engage into factory
isolator.
5.
Put one 3” band clamp onto outlet of overaxle
pipe, install tailpipe and snug band clamp.
6.
Working from the front of the system, align and
tighten each pipe from the cat-back.
7.
Check for clearance to body, frame, and driveline
as you tighten the system from front to rear.
8.
Check for leaks and correct, if any are found.
