Problem
Solution
The appliance fails to heat the
water to boiling point.
Make sure the appliance is plugged in.
Make sure that the wall socket is live.
Make sure the appliance has been switched on.
The water boils, but the water
tank does not drain properly or
does not drain at all.
Make sure the water tank disc is placed correctly.
Descale and clean the coffeemaker. Pay special attention to
the rubber insert in the outflow opening of the water tank
(see chapters ‘Descaling’ and ‘Cleaning’).
The water flows into the jug right
away when I fill the water tank.
Make sure you place the water tank disc on the water tank
before you fill it.
If you have just brewed coffee, let the appliance cool down
for 3 minutes before you brew coffee again. Make sure you
pour the first amount of fresh water against the temperature
sensor in the centre of the water tank disc.
The brewing cycle takes longer
than usual.
Descale and clean the coffeemaker. Pay special attention to
the rubber insert in the outflow opening of the water tank
(see chapters ‘Descaling’ and ‘Cleaning’).
