For Windows XP users
Launch Windows Media Player 10 from your Windows desktop.
Send tracks to your player

Click Sync tab.

In the Items to Copy pane, show the playlist, category, or other item that 
you want to copy.

Clear the check boxes next to any files you do not want to copy.

In the Items on Device pane, show the device that you want to copy files 
to. i.e. Philips GoGear.

Click the Start Sync button.

Music transferred to removable disk or locations other than
Philips GoGear as shown in the Items on device pane cannot be
played on your device.

Install
Insert the included CD into your computer’s CDROM drive.
Select your language and follow screen instructions to complete
installation of Windows Media Player (WMP 9 for Windows 2000
or WMP 10 for Windows XP) and Philips Device Manager 
Use this to troubleshoot your device.
Connect the by-packed adapter to your device and to the main 
power supply. Connect the smaller end of your USB cable to your  
device, the bigger end to your  computer's USB port.
Your device will be recognized as a portable device on your 
computer. It is now ready to download music tracks.
Ensure your device is connected before opening WMP for best performance.

Transfer
How do I reset?
If such hang-up happens, do not panic. Simply reset your device as follows:
1
Remove the battery.
Re-insert the battery and power up the device.
How do I restore / repair my device?
With Philips Device Manager you can update the software in your device with a few simple
clicks.

Connect your device to your computer (powered by the supplied AC/DC adapter if 
applicable).
Launch Philips Device Manager from Start ➔ Program ➔ Philips Device Manager.
In the main window, select your device and you will be prompted to disconnect your
device from your computer as soon as Device Manager finishes interacting with your 
device.

Please safely remove your device by clicking 
from your task tray.
Once the USB cable is disconnected, firmware restore/repair will start automatically 
in 60 seconds.
Transfer music files from your PC to your
device via Windows Media Player.
