Click the OCR tab to select settings that affect OCR accuracy. 

Click the Scanner tab to select settings for scanning pages. 

The Scanner tab appears only if you have installed Caere Scan Manager, 
and depending on your particular scanner, your scanner might need to 
be connected and turned on for the Scanner tab to appear.

 

Select the type 
of characters 
that are in your 
document.

Training files 
help 
recognize 
special 
characters 
during OCR.

Select the 
languages that 
appear in your 
document.

This is the character 
used in place of 
unknown characters. 
You can enter your 
own choice.

Move the slider to the 
Most Accurate end of 
the scale to increase 
OCR accuracy to the 
highest level.

Select this if you want to 
scan a multiple page 
document into OmniPage 
Pro. 

Use the 
brightness and 
contrast sliders 
if your scanning 
results are 
different than 
you expect.

Select this to 
automatically scan 
double-sided pages 
if your scanner has 
an automatic 
document feeder.

Enter the number of 
seconds you want OmniPage Pro to wait 
before scanning the next page. Be sure to 
give yourself enough time to add the next 
page to your scanner.
