Indexes
You can add indexes to a sound file and delete them. Adding an index makes it easier to find 
the part you want to listen to. You can add up to 16 indexes to a file.
Note
• Indexes can only be used in Voice Editor 3. Indexes cannot be added, deleted, or used with an IC 
recorder.
• The indexes remain in place when you transfer files to an SD Memory Card.

Play the sound file.

 at the point you want to add the index.
The index is added.

• The index is deleted.
• If you have added more than one index, the indexes are deleted starting from the left of 
the slider knob. However, indexes to the right of the slider knob are not deleted.

Play skips to the indexed position.
Note
• Indexes are erased if you divide a 
sound file.
• The minimum time between indexes is 
1 second.
• Right-click to make fine adjustments to 
the position.

Move one second backward or 
forward with each click. Move faster 
by clicking and holding. (It may not 
work correctly if you click in rapid 
succession.)
Returns the counter to the time 
where you opened this dialog menu.
You can enter times directly 
into the counter.
