If control solution results are out of this range, REPEAT THE 
TEST.Out-of-range control solution results

Expired or bad control solution

•

Expired or bad test strip

•

Error in performing test

•

Code on test strip vial does not match code set in the PDM

•

Malfunction of the System

•

Control solution test done outside 59° to 104° F (15° to 40° C)

If your control solution test results continue to fall outside the 
range printed on the test strip vial:

1. The System may not be working properly.

2. Do not use the System to test your blood glucose.

3. Call Insulet's Customer Care (24 hours/7 days): 800-591-3455.

When calling from outside the United States: 781-457-5098.

1. Grasp the bottom of the test strip with the printed side facing 

up (Figure 7-2).

 

2. Insert the top of the test strip into the test strip port (Figure 7-3) 

until it stops. This turns on the PDM and displays the code 
number on the screen. Refer to page 54 to check Pod status 
and to Confirm ID. 

 

The control solution range is a target range for control 
solution only. It is not a target range for your blood 
glucose.

Always verify and be prepared to adjust the code 
on the PDM to match the code number on the 
test strip vial (Figure 7-4).
