Remote Control Kit

For use with Lucky Duck™ and Rapid Flyer Lucky Duck™ decoys.

Parts List:

1 Remote Receiver
1 Remote Transmitter

Step 1:
Disconnect the safety plug from the wire harness inside the decoy.
Note: Be sure to save the plug for future use without the remote control.
The unit will not operate without the remote or safety plug.
Step 2:
Using the two-sided tape, attach the receiver box to the battery cage towards the rear of
the decoy.
Step 3:
Plug male end of the wire harness from the receiver into the female end of the wire
harness from the decoy. Be sure wires will not interfere with the motor shafts on the
Lucky Duck™ decoy.
Step 4:
Feed the antennae out of the decoy through the first small hole in the bottom of the
decoy. Then feed the antennae back into the decoy through the second small hole in
the bottom of the decoy . Finally, feed the antennae into the neck of the decoy. Make
sure the antennae is relatively straight in the neck of the decoy.
Step 5:
To operate, turn the power switch to the “RF” (remote function) position. Use the
handheld remote to activate the decoy. When not in use, turn the switch to the “OFF”
position.
Step 6:
To remove the remote, disconnect the wire assemblies, and remove the antenna and
replace the safety plug.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
Your remote control kit is pre-programmed at the factory. Though rare, it is possible for it to loose
it’s connection with the remote receiver inside the duck. If your remote control does not work out
of the box, perform the following steps to re-program your remote control to work with your decoy.
You can also use these steps for setting up your remote control to control multiple ducks from the
same key fob.
1) Remove the decoy wings.
2) Carefully remove the 4 screws in the top of the receiver cover to expose the PCB board
inside.
3) Turn your decoy to the ON (RF) position and press and HOLD the S1 button shown
below in the illustration.
4) While pressing down the S1 button, press and hold the key fob button until the Red LED
illuminates on the board. At that point, your receiver has been programmed to work with
that remote.
5) If you have multiple decoys that you want to control with the same remote control, repeat
this process with each of the ducks.
6) Replace the cover and screws and you are ready to start hunting.
If those steps do not get it back working, please check to see if the battery in the key fob is fresh
and not depleted. If still a problem, contact Customer Service at the number is 715-381-2935.
