GOTCHA™ Child Perimeter Safety Device

Thank you for purchasing the NSC Gotcha™ Perimeter Safety Device. These units can be thought of as an ‘electronic

leash’ with a variable range. When the child wanders beyond the range that has been set for them the child unit will

automatically alarm. When the child comes back into your comfort zone the alarm can either be canceled from the

parent unit or it will automatically cancel.

This product is intended to assist you in keeping track of your children in busy environments, such as shopping

malls or parks. One parent unit can track multiple child units simultaneously (additional child units sold

separately).

BASIC PRODUCT USE

Gotcha consists of two units: one part is worn by the parent (parent unit) and the other is worn by the child (child unit). The child

unit also has an anti tamper feature. If the child unit is removed the alarm will automatically activate. The alarm can only be

canceled by re-attaching the unit to the childs clothing and pressing the

LOCATE

CANCEL

button on the parent unit.

Each parent unit has a unique ID code. Each child unis must be programmed to recognise the correct parent unit it belongs to. This

means that your child unit will now only respond to your parent unit. However additional child units may be bought and

programmed to operate with a specific parent unit. The parent unit has a

LOCATE

CANCEL

button and an on/off switch. The child

unit is automatically switched on by opening the belt clip and attaching it to the childs clothing. It can only be switched off by a

comand from the parent unit.

When your child wanders beyond the preset perimeter, the child’s unit will automatically sound an

alarm. This audible child unit alarm (there is no alert directly in the parent unit) alerts you that the

child is outside the safety zone. You should immediately respond to this alarm. You can easily locate

your child by following the direction of the alarm sound. The alarm will either automatically re-set or

it can be cancelled by the parent pressing the

LOCATE

CANCEL

button on the parent unit when your

child is back inside the safety zone. For added safety, the child unit is also designed to alarm when

tampered with.
