Bridges
Bridges create pathways for data packets to travel freely between two or more interfaces within the
Wi-Fi Switch. Bridges differ from VLANs in that you do not have to specify the media access
control (MAC) addresses of each client before it can use the bridge.

A default bridge, called “br0”, is configured to provide communications between the wired Ethernet
interfaces (eth0-eth1) and the wireless interfaces (wlan1-wlan13). The default IP address of the
Wi-Fi Switch is applied to this bridge for immediate access to these interfaces.
