•  Voice Enabled - When yes, Voice Command is running and waiting for you to press and release the 
Voice Button.  
•  Voice Button - choose the hardware button that works best for you. Note, some buttons will have 
another behavior which will be replaced with or compete with Voice Command.

Password Protected, Voice Command is disabled before the system password 
is entered or when button lock is engaged. This prevents others from using voice commands 
to access your data while the device is locked. Note if the current security policy prevents 
overriding the password screen in this manner, this checkbox will not appear.  
Phone Options  
When using the Voice Command feature to place and receive calls, you will have the option of having your 
commands confirmed before being carried out. 
•  Call Confirmations - When yes, Voice Command asks you to confirm that the correct name was 
recognized before placing the call.  
•  Dial Confirmations - When yes, Voice Command asks you to confirm that the correct number was 
recognized before placing the call. This also applies to callback and repeat  
•  Announce Calls - When yes, Voice Command will speak the calling name or number aloud 
interleaved with the current ring tone.  
Calendar Options  
Voice command can give verbal reminders of appointments in your calendar according to the schedule you 
specify. 
•  Calendar Reminders - Voice Command reads Calendar reminders aloud based on the value of this 
option. Choices are: Always, Free Time Only (when calendar shows time as free), or Never.  
Media Options  
Voice command can also give you background information on any media file you choose to play. 
•  Media Selections - When yes, Voice Command announces the name of the album, artist, or genre 
that you choose.  
 
General Tips  
Voice command has many features to manage. This section describes some of the simple ways to manage 
Voice command. 
How do I get Help? - Say “Help“, it is context sensitive and will assist you with currently available 
commands.  
Do I have to wait until a question finishes to answer? - No. You can press the Voice Command Button 
anytime during a question to interrupt. As soon as you see the microphone icon, you can speak your answer.  
What's a quick way to cancel? - Try one of the following:  
•  You can press and hold the Voice Command Button to cancel the current interaction. (*Not available 
on all devices)  
•  You can respond with “Cancel“.
