Forgot your password for Google account?

 

If you have forgotten your password for Google account, reset it at the Google website. 

 

1. Open your web browser on your computer and go to 

https://www.google.com/accounts/recovery. 

2. Enter the email address or username that you use to sign in to your Google account and click 
Submit

. 

3. Enter the characters that you see on the screen and click Continue. 

4. Select an option about recovering your account and click Continue. 

5. Take necessary steps for each option: 
•  Enter the answer for security questions if you have selected Answer your security 

. This option will not be available if you have signed in to your Google account 

within last five days. 

•  Check your email account you provided when you created your Google Account and follow 

the instructions if you have selected Email to *****@****. 

•  Fill in the form for Google Accounts Help if you have selected I no longer have access to 

, and click Submit on the bottom of the window. 

 Do not select Text message to *********** 30: You cannot receive a code to reset your 

password on your device. 

 
Locking screen with a password 

1. Tap Settings > Location & security > Set up screen lock > Password. 

2. Enter your password and tap OK. The password should be at least 4 characters. 

3. Enter the password again to confirm. 

4. Tap OK.

 

 

 Tap Settings > Location & security > Visible passwords if you want to see passwords 

as you type.
