In order to use this product correctly and safely, please read this manual in detail 

before using, and save it properly. 

1.Please control properly the volume and time of use this headset. 

2.Do not use headset in the potential risk environment, to ensure safety. 

3.Do not use this headset to listen a music, dial or answer calls during driving, to 

avoid risk of distraction.

4.Please keep headset out of reach of children to avoid the risk caused by the 

improper use by children. 

5.Avoid the water to flow into the headset at the time of washing, it can be reason of 

damage of headset or headset sound quality. 

6.Continuously increase of volume should be avoided, because you cannot hear the 

sound all around. If the tinnitus occurred or the sound volume is increased too high, 

please adjust sound to suitable volume. 

7.If you feel obvious discomfor t, excitement or other adverse reaction when using 

this headset, please immediately stop using it. 

8.Do not place or use this headset at the environment where the temperature is 

lower than -15℃（5 F) or higher than 55℃（131 F). Otherwise, the service life of 

the headset or battery will be shor ten. 

2.Inser t USB charging cable into the headset charging interface, and inser t another 

end of USB charging cable into USB charger or other charging unit. At this point, the 

headset is charging. The red light of the headset is permanently lighted while 

charging. 

3.The time of the full charge of headset is about two hours. After fully charged, the 

red light of the headset is turned off. 

Warning

1.You must use matched charging cable to charge headset. If you use unmatched 

charging cable, it is able to damage the headset; DC voltage must be 5V and the 

electric current must be more than 100mA (5V/100mA). 

2.This headset has built-in, non-removable, rechargeable battery. Do not try to take 

out the battery from headset, to avoid damaging of the headset. 

Long press multifunction key until the blue light is lighted and the headset beeps.

Long press multifunction key until red and blue lights flash alternately and the 

headset will beeps. 

Long press multifunction key until red light is turned off after it is lighted, and 

headset will beep. 

1.Please keep the distance between wireless headset and mobile phone (or other 

connection units) within one meter, as close as possible. 

2.Turn on the headset and enter into the pair mode, red and blue lights flash 

alternately at this moment. 

3.Turn on the wireless search function in mobile phone or unit required for other 

connection; the mobile phone will display “HOCO ES5”. 

Please firstly turn off headset before charging. 

4.Select “HOCO ES5” (the “0000” needs to be inputted as pair password in the 

mobile phone), the wireless headset will automatically connect with the mobile 

phone, and blue light flashes. Note: the pair time of the wireless headset is at least 

120 seconds. If the light is turned off, it means that the wireless pairing mode has 

been stopped. If you have not paired successfully, please repeat step 1 to 4 for 

pairing again. 

Turn off the mobile phone wireless function. 

Press headset multifunction key for a long time until red light is turn off, and the 

headset will automatically turn off.

Move headset to the location where it is away from 20 meters of mobile phone 

(about 60 feet) or fur ther. 

When you hear warning sound from headset during call, continuously press 

multifunction key for two times, the call will be rejected; or use your mobile phone 

to reject call. 

Continuously press multifunction key for two times in the standby mode, this will 

automatically re-dial last telephone number. 

Click headset multifunction key during call; or use the “hang up” key in your 

mobile phone to hang up call. 

When you hear warning sound from headset during call, click multifunction key to 

answer call; or use your mobile phone to answer call. 

1.Please keep the distance between wireless headset and mobile phone (or other 

connection units) within one meter, as close as possible.

2.Turn on headset, and then the headset will enter into re-connection mode; at this 

moment, the blue light flash. 

3.Open the wireless search function in the mobile phone or devices required for 

other connections at the same time, and the wireless headset will automatically 

re-connect with the last connected mobile phone. 

When playing music, click sound volume (+)/(-) to adjust the sound volume. 

Long press sound volume (+)/(-) to select song. 

1.Why HOCO ES5 cannot pair with mobile phone? 

A: please check whether headset is in the pairing or reconnecting mode and check 

whether the mobile phone wireless search function has been opened. Check 

wireless menu in the mobile phone and delete/cancel headset, and re-connect the 

headset in accordance with the user manual. 

2.Why HOCO ES5 headset does not turn on? 

A: please check the power level of the headset. 

3.Can the battery of HOCO ES5 headset be replaced? 

A: No, this headset has unremovable lithium-polymer battery. 

4.Can HOCO ES5 headset be used during driving? 

A: the communication headset may be used during driving. But, it is not 

recommended to use headset during driving. 

5.Can HOCO ES5 headset disconnect with mobile phone within 10 meters? 

A: because the wireless is a wireless technology, thus the wireless technology is 

very sensitive to objects between the headset and connected unit; please check 

whether there are metals or other objects which may impact on the connection 

within the connection scope. 

6.After the headset connected to a computer or mobile phone,why there is no 

sound?

A: please check whether the computer output sound track has been set as wireless 

voice frequency device and whether the computer wireless technology suppor ts 

A2DP protocol. Please check computer/mobile phone sound volume.

7.When wireless headset connected with the phone, can it be used for control 

phone’s applications?

A: software functions of the apps in the different devices are vary, so some 

application functions cannot be suppor ted by headset.
