• Antenna connector
The antenna uses a PL-259 connector.

  Slide  the  coupling  ring 
down. Strip the cable jacket 
and tin the shield.

  Strip the cable as shown at 
left. Tin the center conduc-
tor.

  Slide  the  connector  body 
on and solder it.

  Screw the coupling ring onto 
the connector body.
  NOTE:  There  are  many  publications  covering  antennas 
and their proper installation. Check with your local dealer 
for more information and recommendations.
 Transceiver connection
Connect  the  transponder  and  a  transceiver  using  the  
OPC-2014

. After connecting, an In-
dividual  DSC  call  can  be  made  to  the  AIS  target  using  the 
transponder without entering the target’s MMSI code. (p. 22)
