video from your smart phone, table and computer to the TV, monitor or projector with HDMI port. Nowyou can enjoy 
streaming High Definition multimedia content quickly and reliably to share with your family and friends.
In addition, if your smart phone, table and computer support WiFi CERTIFIED Miracast, you can mirror the screen of 
your device to TV, monitor or projector by Miracast.
You can surf the web or receiving messages from friends while playing media contents via WiFi.

Description of Each Part
  
① Mode Button : short or long press for different functions:
    
• Short press the Mode button to switch between 2 functions.
      The factory default setting is‘Mode A’and it follows with‘Mode S’by short pressing the Mode button.
    
• To set up the factory default setting, pressthe Mode button for 5 seconds, until you see the “Factory Default” 
      message on the top leftcorner of the screen. Once the default setting is completed, the APCast Dongle will restart.
      
! Caution : Resetting will delete all your saved network connection data so this function is not recommended to use unless in need.
② LED Indicator : There are two colors. (Please see the details on the next page)
     
③ HDMI connector : connecting TV, projector and HDMI-compatible display
④ Micro USB Port : supplies power from the USB cable
⑤ Line out & S/PDIF combo audio : Analog and Digital Optical output.
⑥ Reset Button : Press the Reset button to shut down and restart the application in the Dongle. 
                      The program will be reset.
                             ! Caution : If errors occur during application, press the Reset button to quit and then restart.

Setup & Application
• Setup: Please turn on the WiFi on you device (smart phone, table and computer) and make connection to 
           APCastXXX before start setting.
  
 
! Note : Any change of Setup will cause the disconnection of WiFi and restart. 
                        Please re-connect the WiFi and proceed with setup and playback.
   There are two modes of connection :
   1. Virtual AP only Mode : To share multimedia content from your smart phone, table and computer to the TV, 
      monitor or projector without a home network. (to use WiFi Modem)
   2. Bridge to wireless Mode : When you stream the multimedia content, you can also receive other information 
      from the internet. With free APP of iMedia Share, you can even share web videos from Facebook, Picasa or 
      YouTube with your friends and family on a larger display. (not using WiFi Modem)
   Below are instructions for setting up Virtual AP only Mode and Bridge to wireless Mode.
   1. Virtual AP only Mode Setup : The factory default setting is 
“Virtual AP only” mode. Once your device 
      (Smartphone and tablet) is connected to APCast XXX, you can start to stream multimedia content from your 
      device with compatible software to the TV, monitor or projector. (Please refer to below description for 
“How to 
      Playback
”). (To know how to play, see the next page.) The screen message for successful connection is as below.
   2. Bridge to Wireless Mode Setup : two ways for setup.
       a) Web browser : this is a quick setup
       b) Install through AP Link App
       For time saving, we recommend setup via Web browser. Setting up through AP Link App, 
       will be described in a later section (Other Setup).
a) Please double check your device(smart phone, tablet and computer) connected to APCast XXX well.
   If yes, then open the web browser and type the IP address of the APCast which is shown on the main page.
! Recommend : Better transmission performance in
                    
“Virtual AP only” mode.

b) A Virtual Remote Controller will appear on the Screen.Please select 
“WiFi setup” at the bottom right corner, access 
 “Wireless LAN setup
” and then choose your router. If you can’t find the router you want, press “Re-Scan AP” to refresh 
   and locate. Choose the correct router to enter the password of the WiFi router and then tab 
“submit” for a successful setup.
c) The APCast will quit automatically, restart and then connect to the WiFi router. 
   The main page will show that the connection to the router is ready. The main page shows the product has been 
   entered to Bridge to Wireless Mode. You can now stream from your smart phone, table and computer to the TV, 
   monitor or projector, and surf the internet at the same time. Additionally, user can customize the Audio, Video 
   or System setup depending on their preference. Please refer to the instruction on 
“Other Setup”.

Other Setup
Virtual remote controller can be accessed by typing the IP address that is displayed on the main page of the WiFi 
Display Dongle or, through the AP Link App by pressing the      “Setup”button.
1. Network Setup : There are four options under Network “Device name”, “Virtual AP Bridge”, “Wireless LAN Setup”,
   
“Virtual AP Setup” which can be set depending on the device and the user’s needs.
    • Device Name : The default device name can be renamed using the keyboard on the screen.
    • Virtual AP Bridge : The “Virtual AP only” mode is an option for activating the “Bridge to wireless” .
    • Wireless LAN Setup :
     a) In order to access 
“Network”, “Virtual AP Bridge” and “Bridge to Wireless”, the APCast will quit automatically 
        and shut down and restart. Log onto APCast to reconnect to the 
“Network” and “Wireless LAN Setup”. 
        Once the WiFi nearby has been detected, select the WiFi Router.
     b) Access to your selected WiFi Router, enter the password, and then press(OK) for the WiFi to automatically 
        connect. On the screen, 
“Connection Test” message will be displayed.
     c) APCast will quit and restart automatically. If the connection is successful, the connection display image will appear.
At“bridge to wireless mode”
, please connect WiFi in your device to the router directly for playback.

    • Virtual AP Setup : Password can be set up from Virtual AP. As you access “Network”, “Virtual AP Setup”,
                            
“Wireless Security”, there are two options, “Open System” and “WPA Key” for conversion. 
                                   “Open System” is recommended for an improved transmission performance. 
                            In order to set up the password of Virtual AP, access 
“WPA Key”, “Password” then enter 
                            the password and press ok. To change saved region, select protected 
“Region” then
                            
“Save Change”. After APCast closes, password will set up.
 2. Audio Setup 
    There are 3 options: 
“Night Mode”, “HDMI Output”, “Lip Sync (HDMI A/V Sync)” and can be set depending on 
    the device and the user’
s needs.
    • Night Mode : to decrease the volume.
    • Lip Sync (HDMI A/V Sync): HDMI A/V Synchronization, the unit of measurement is millisecond.
    • HDMI Output : to set the proper HDMI audio output, depending on the device.
     a) HDMI LPCM : Decoding Audio and Digital Analogy Output in 2 channels.
     b) HDMI RAW : To stream, the HDMI component must be connected to the audio output of the original bit stream. 
                         The HDMI device must have the ability to decode, like an A/V amplifier, in order for the right 
                         sound to be supported.
     c) HDMI AUTO : factory default setting
    • HDMI A/V Synchronization : the unit of measurement is millisecond.
3. Video Setup  
   There are 4 options for video set up 
“Aspect Ratio”, “TV system”, “Scale Video Output to 90%”, “1080P 24Hz”. 
   Setting can be made depending on the user’
s preference.
    • Aspect Ratio : Ability to select the best display ratio for your TV, monitor or projector.
     a) Pan Scan 4:3 
        In order to modify16:9’
s original screen, Play 4:3 on TV screen by browsing / searching the middle of 
        the screen. It is recommended to use 4:3 display for a standard display.
     b) Letter Box 4:3
        Compress the width of the screen without browsing / searching. 
        4:3 ratio is recommended to use for 4:3 standard display.
     c) 16:9
        It’
s recommended for a 16:9 wide screen TV.
     d) 16:19
        It’
s recommended for a 16:19 wide TV.
    • TV System : Ability to select suitable resolution based on performance of your TV, monitor or projector.
    • Scale Video Output to 90% : Enables screen reduction.
    • 1080P 24Hz : Use this function to select the resolution of display. It is recommended to use this function 
                        if image size is 1080P 24Hz. This function provides the best display resolution.

Q & A
If you have any problems when using APCast, the following steps will help you to solve the problem.
  
Q : There is a black screen when APCast is connected to TV.
A : Please do the following:
      • Check if the LED on APCastis on or not. If not, check the connection status of the Micro USB cable.
      • Check both HDMI dongle and the Micro USB power cable are well connected.
      • Check if the external input mode is set as the HDMI input mode.
   
Q : Cannot find the device you want to play with AP Link App?
A : Please check if WiFi in smart phone, table and computer is selected and connected to APCast XXX.
   
Q : Can’
t playback the content to the TV, monitor or projector in real time on Bridge to wireless Mode?
A : It takes more time to stream the large content so please wait for few seconds. Please check if your internet band width is smooth 
     and wireless device is not interfered by the environment or other wireless devices. To get a better transmission on performance, 
     please change to Virtual AP only Mode.
  
Q : Some media file formats can’
t be played.
A : Some multimedia content formats are not supported and please refer to the specifications.
  
Q : APCast DMR is not be found on the device list?
A : Make sure the APCast and your smart phone, table and computer is connected in same network area. 
     Or please close the WiFi and restart WiFi again.
   
Q : It’
s suddenly stopped when playing a movie.
A : APCast has a better performance with strong WiFi signal. When the signal is not good or be disturbed, the screen display 
      “Worse Wireless Environment Stop Playback”, and it will stop for about 5 seconds and then return to the main menu. 
     The performance of APCast depends on the environment. To get the best connection performance, make sure your devices 
     are closer enough to the wireless router. In addition, please also try to avoid areas that have a lot of noise or interruption from 
     surrounding wireless signals.
4. There are 5 options available to choose from : 
“Language setting”, “Factory Default”, “Version Info”, 
    “Online Upgrade”, “USB Upgrade”. Setting can be made according to the device and demand.
    • Language setting : Various language selections.
    • Factory Default : The original factory setting.
    • Version Info : Shows the related information on APCast.
    • Online Upgrade : Download and upgrade software through network.
     ! 
Caution : You must switch wireless bridge mode which will take 5 minutes to upgrade. Do not switch off the device during upgrading online. 
                     After the upgrade is finished, the system will reboot to the main menu.
    • USB upgrade : Download and upgrade using USB device.

Preparations Before Application
• Before using APCast, please make sure below devices are ready.
 1. For smart phone, table and computer, hardware must be capable to support wireless network, 802.11b/g/n.
 2. Micro USB Power cable
 3. TV, monitor or projector that is HDMI capable
 4. WiFi Router : This can be used without the WiFi router but for better use, WiFi router can be used.
    ! Caution : a) Please use WiFi router which capably supports 802.11 b/g/n and 300Mbps above for better connection.
                   b) To make sure your smart phone, table and computer and APCast are closer enough to the WiFi router. 
                      Please try to avoid areas that have a lot of noise or interruption from surrounding wireless signals.

Connection
① Connect HDMI cable to a TV, monitor or projector’
s HDMI port then connect to APCast’
s HDMI port.
② Power Connection : Please take out the AC Adaptor from the package.
③ Select the‘HDMI input’from the setting external input mode of TV, monitor or projector.
④ The screen will show a video and then enter to the main page.

Software Installation
• Please install the free AP Link App to access many convenient functions. 
  Basic use is available without using the AP Link App.
• You may download from Google Play by searching AP Link App.  
• Software for Android OS is available to be installed.
 ※For use of iOS operating system, please type the IP address of the WiFi display dongle on your Web browser.
