With the INSYS GSM compact, almost every PLC can be up-
graded to a very affordable alarm indicator and remote control-
ling system for decentralized monitoring tasks. The connection
to the PLC is made directly via the serial interface (RS232). The
device offers the opportunity to send alarm messages, also the
remote controll of PLCs by SMS or DTMF.
