GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The S•Direct offers a variety of DI solutions for live
sound and recording applications. You can connect
guitars, keyboards, outboard signal processors and
even the high-powered speaker output from an
amplifier. The S•Direct enables you to take the signal
from a guitar or bass guitar and pass the signal from
the Link output to the amplifier without affecting
the original sound. This can eliminate the need for
micing the amplifier. The S•Direct is also very useful
for connecting unbalanced signals from sources like
sub-mixers, effects processors and keyboards to a PA
or recording mixer. Unlike passive direct boxes, the
S•Direct is active (has a power supply), so you can rely
on an even frequency response regardless of its output
impedance. The S•Direct’s balanced output provides a
clean signal so long runs of cable are possible.

ARCHITECT’S & ENGINEER’S SPECIFICATIONS
The Samson S•Direct shall be an audio signal direct box. A
¼˝ input shall be provided for the signal source. An input
switch shall be provided to select between instrument level
and speaker level. A ¼˝ jack shall be provided to link the
input signal to another device. An XLR jack shall be provided
as a balanced output. A 9 volt battery shall be required for
standard operation. A switch shall be provided to switch
between the internal 9 volt battery and 48 volt operation
derived from the console attached through the XLR output.
