• Longer voice coils when compared to the previous series of Reference Subwoofers: the new Reference Subwoofers feature longer coils and a deeper 

basket. A longer coil and more room for suspension travel provide reduced distortion at higher output levels. 

• Reference Subwoofers now feature a pole piece extended above the magnet’s top plate. This additional length provides magnetic symmetry above and 

below the gap for reduced distortion at all listening levels. 

• Mechanical noise has been minimized with a vented pole piece that includes inlet and outlet flares for reduced turbulence at the vent’s openings. 
• Rubber Magnet Cover protects the magnet during handling and provides a clean appearance.
• Large-Roll Rubber Surrounds – This material provides optimum cone-edge suspension and absorbs distortions that may travel up the cone edge. The 

benefit is a reduction in distortion.

• Progressive Spider – Each Reference subwoofer features a progressive spider, applying progressively more force as the cone travel approaches its limit. 

The result is a subwoofer in better control when pushed to extreme excursions.
