e) Inserting the Battery into the IR Remote Control
•  Open the battery compartment on the back of the IR remote control and insert a battery of type
“CR2025”, paying attention to the correct polarity (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-). Close the
battery compartment again.
•  The battery needs replacing if the range of the IR remote control decreases or if the control unit
no longer responds to the remote control.
IR remote control functions
Point the LED on the front of the IR remote control at the IR receiver of the control unit and press
the corresponding button.
Basic functions:
  Switching the LED strips on/off
Toggling between light colour warm white/cold white
Playing all light programmes automatically one after another
Increasing the speed (of a running light programme) or increasing the brightness (if a static
colour is displayed)
Decreasing the speed (of a running light programme) or decreasing the brightness (if a
static colour is displayed)
Selecting of an individual colour (red, green, blue, yellow, purple, cyan blue, cold white,
warm white) which the light programme is to use later
The subsequently selected light programme uses 3 colours (red + green + blue)
The subsequently selected light programme uses 7 colours (red + green + blue + yellow +
purple + white)
The subsequently selected light programme uses 16 colours (red + green + blue + yellow +
purple + cyan blue + white + orange + dark yellow + light yellow + light green + light blue +
azure + purple + magenta)
Deactivating of parts of the LED strip  (see next chapter)
Light programme:
Light programme “Opening the curtain” (LEDs are dimmed in the middle of the LED strip, the
dimmed area runs from the middle to the outer edges)
Light programme “Closing the curtain” (the selected colour starts at the ends of the LED
strip and runs towards the middle)
Light  programme  “Trailing  to  the  left”  (similar  to  a  running  light;  the  unused  LEDs  are
dimmed)
Light  programme  “Trailing  to  the  right)  (similar  to  a  running  light;  the  unused  LEDs  are
dimmed)
Light  programme  “selected  colour  runs  to  the  left”  (the  unused  LEDs  are  illuminated  in
white)
Light  programme  “selected  colour  runs  to  the  left”  (the  unused  LEDs  are  illuminated  in
white)
Light programme “Stars running to the right” (waterfall effect)
Light programme “Stars running to the left” (waterfall effect)
Light programme “Running light to the left”
Light programme “Running light to the right”
Light programme “Rainbow” (running light with the selected colour(s) running alternately
to the left and right)
Light programme “Blinking” (all LEDs are dimmed/lit)
Light programme “Jumping” (all LEDs are switched on/off)
Light programme “Meteor tail” (waterfall effect with the selected colour(s) running alter-
nately to the left and right)
Deactivating parts of the LED strip
Due to the digital control of the LED strip, you can deactivate parts of the LED strip. For example,
if you only need 4 m of the LED strip, you do not need to cut it off but you can switch off the 1 m
section of the LED strip you do not require.
Proceed as follows:
•  Switch on the LED strip.
•  Press the
button (IC set); the programming mode is now activated. The LEDs are lit in white.
•  Use the arrow button
to deactivate the LEDs at the end of the LED strip (always in groups of
three); press the button several times, if necessary.
  Use the
button to activate the LEDs again.
•  Press the
button (IC set) to leave the programming mode.
Maintenance and Cleaning
•  Apart from the the occasional battery change for the IR remote control, the product is mainte-
nance-free.
The built-in LED bulbs are permanently installed; they cannot be replaced.
•  Before carrying out any cleaning, the product is to be separated from the mains voltage, pull the
wall plug transformer from the mains socket.
•  The outside of the product should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the
housing (discolouring) or impair operation.
Disposal
a) General
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regula-
tions.

Remove any battery in the IR remote control and dispose of it separately from the product.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/recharge-
able batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to in-
dicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy
metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to collection points
in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin cells are sold.
You therefore fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
