To run the ESM back-end services on a Windows 2003 web server, ASP.NET 1.1 functions need 
to be allowed. 

ASP.NET is allowed by default on Windows 2000 servers.

To enable ASP.NET, perform the following steps:

Step 1: Open the Internet Information Services Manager (see Figure 102)

Step 2: Open Web Service Extensions

Step 3: Highlight ASP.NET v1.1.x and click Allow (see Figure 103)
