14  Configuring and Monitoring the Switch

The following figure and table describe how to specify management 

stations that will receive authentication failure messages or other trap 
messages from the switch. Up to 5 trap managers may be entered.

Trap Manager Capability

Up to 5 trap managers may be used. 

Trap Manager IP Address

IP address of the trap manager.  

Trap Manager Community 
String

A community authorized to receive trap messages.  

Add/Remove

Add/remove strings from the active list.  

Enable Authentication 
Traps

Issues a trap message to specified IP trap managers 
whenever authentication of an SNMP request fails.  
Default: enabled
