Multi-Homing Security Gateway User’s Manual 

 

 Select how your router will connect to the Internet. Selections include Obtain an IP 

, Static IP Settings, PPPoE Settings, PPTP Settings, and Big Pond Settings. 

For each WAN port, the factory default is DHCP. If your ISP does not use DHCP, select the correct 

connection method and configure the connection accordingly. Configurable items will vary depending on 

the connection method selected. 

 

 Some ISPs authenticate logins using this field. 

 If your ISP requires you to input a WAN Ethernet MAC, check the checkbox and enter your 

MAC address in the blanks below. 

 If your ISP requires you to manually setup DNS settings, check the checkbox and enter your primary 

and secondary DNS. 

 To activate RIP, select Send, Receive, or Both from the drop down menu. To disable RIP, select 

 from the drop down menu. 

 Enter the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) for your network.
