8 - 4   REMOTE FAX OPTIONS

Follow the commands below to access features when you are away from the fax 
machine. When you call the fax machine and enter your Remote Access Code (3 
digits followed by  ), the system will give two short beeps and you must enter a 
remote command.

1 OFF

If you hear one long beep, the change has 
been accepted. If you hear three short beeps, 
you cannot change it because the conditions 
have not been met (for example, registering a 
fax forwarding or paging number). You can 
register your Fax Forwarding number by 
entering 4. Fax Forwarding number (see page 
8-5). Once you have registered the number, 
the fax machine will change to 

FAX FORWARD:ON

 mode.

3 Paging

4 Fax Forwarding number

6 Fax Storage ON

You can turn 

FAX STORAGE

 to 

ON

 (or 

OFF

 

after you have retrieved or erased all your 
messages).

7 Fax Storage OFF

2 Retrieve all faxes

Enter the number of a remote fax machine to 
receive stored fax messages. (See page 8-5.)

3 Erase faxes from the 
memory

If you hear one long beep, you can erase fax 
messages from the memory.

1 Fax

You can check whether the fax machine has 
received any faxes. If it has, you will hear one 
long beep. If it hasn’t, you will hear three short 
beeps.

1 TAD:ANSWER MACH.

If you hear one long beep, you can change 
the Receive Mode.

2 FAX/TEL

3 FAX ONLY

After a long beep, you can exit Remote 
Retrieval.
