The remaining free space of the disc is less than one 
minute for video. Delete unwanted scenes, or use another 
disc.

• Format the disc before using the camcorder. Formatting 

the disc will delete all data recorded on it.

• The disc may be dirty. Remove the disc and wipe off 

fingerprints, dust, etc.

dubbing. Turn off 
power, then turn on 
again.

• Disc error occurred during finalizing, and finalizing 

failed. Replace the disc.

• Was the disc formatted on a PC, or formatting 

interrupted? Choose “YES” to format the disc. 
Formatting the disc will erase all data on it.

Disc error could have occurred during editing of scenes. 
Turn off the camcorder with the disc inserted, and then 
turn it on again. The camcorder will attempt to restore 
scenes.

This message will appear when a disc error occurs during 
the unfinalization process. Replace the disc.

possible. Turn off the power, then wait for a while.

data recorded on it. If this error message persists, use 
another DVD. Note that DVD-R cannot be formatted.
