Use the light metering setting to ensure that the proper amount of light enters 

into the camera lens. 

1. Press  the  mode  button  to  set  the  camera 

mode to 

.

2. Press  the 

  button  to  access  the  function 

bar.

3. Press  the 

  or 

  button  to  select  the 

LIGHT METERING option. 

4. Press   key to enter submenu.

5. Select the metering method using the 

 or 

 button. 

6. The currently selected option will be accessed and takes effect immediately. 

Press the 

 button to confirm and exit from the function bar, or press the 

 button to return to the previous menu. 

 

Evaluates the lighting conditions throughout the picture 
to give an optimum picture exposure. Ideal for general 
picture taking. 

Average

Evaluates the lighting conditions of the subject centered 
on the LCD screen. Ideal for backlit subjects. 

Center

Similar  to  Center,  except  the  metering  is  concentrated 
on a smaller area of the subject centered on the LCD. 
Ideal when an exact exposure of a specific area in the 
picture is needed.
