Configuration Guidelines
The Matrix X4‐C chassis provides eight slots that accept modules. IOM (Input/Output Module)
slots are numbered 1 through 4 from bottom to top. Two Fabric Module slots, labeled FM1 and
FM2, are located in the middle‐left of the chassis, and to their right, Control Module slots CM1 and
CM2.

The three slots located at the base of the chassis are reserved for power supplies. Lastly, two Fan
Tray slots occupy the right side of the chassis.
