1.  When your radio is in standby mode the time and date will be displayed. 

The time is always shown using a 24 hour clock format.

The brightness of the display can be adjusted when the radio is in use and 
when it is in standby. If you use the unit in a bedroom, you may prefer a 
lower brightness level than the standard setting. There are three brightness 
levels and an almost off 'night time' setting.

1.  When the radio is in standby press and release the Info button to 

adjust the brightness level. 

2.  To adjust the display brightness when the radio is in use, press and 

hold the Info button.

3. Press 

the 

Tuning Up or Down buttons until 'Backlight' appears on 

the display. Press and release the Select button.

4.  Press  the Tuning Up button to increase the brightness and the Tuning 

Down button to the decrease brightness.

5.   Press and release the Select button to confi rm the setting.

Note: When using the radio powered by the batteries, the display backlight 
will be switched on for approximately 10 seconds when any button is pressed.
