Operations can be done on the recorder or the
remote control while charging. However, the
remaining charging time will not be displayed
during this time.
For models supplied with the
AC plug adaptor
If the AC power adaptor does not fit the
wall outlet, use the AC plug adaptor.
Make sure to insert the rechargeable battery
before placing the recorder on the battery
charging stand. Charging cannot be done if
you insert the rechargeable battery after
placing the recorder on the battery charging
stand.
Because of the battery’s characteristics, the
capacity of the rechargeable battery may be
smaller than normal when it is used for the
first time or after a long period of disuse. In
this case, charge and discharge the battery
several times. The normal battery life will be
restored.
Charge the rechargeable battery at a
temperature of +5
°
C (+41
°
F) to +35
°
(+95
°
F). The charging time may vary
according to the surrounding temperature.
It is preferable to use the recorder on house
current when recording or editing. When
powering the recorder with batteries, make
sure the rechargeable battery is fully charged.
When to charge the
rechargeable battery
You can check the rechargeable battery
condition in the following ways.
By viewing the battery indication in the
display window of the recorder or the remote
control.

“LOW BATT” flashes in the
display on the recorder (“LOW

The battery level indicator is approximate. It
may be more or less than the indication
depending on the operating condition or the
operating environment.
By pressing the DISPLAY button on the
remote control to view the battery level.
