bay.

IDE

 

drives

your

 

server

 

are

 

not

 

hot-swappable.

 

v

   

Your

 

operating

 

system

 

must

 

support

 

a

 

diskette

 

drive.

Complete

 

the

 

following

 

steps

 

to

 

install

 

a

 

diskette

 

drive

 

in

 

your

 

server:

 

1.

   

Review

 

the

 

information

 

in

 

 

 

 

 

 

and

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.

   

Turn

 

off

 

the

 

server

 

and

 

peripheral

 

devices,

 

and

 

disconnect

 

the

 

power

 

cords

 

and

 

all

 

external

 

devices

 

from

 

the

 

back

 

of

 

the

 

server.

 

3.

   

Inspect

 

the

 

drive

 

for

 

any

 

signs

 

of

 

damage.

 

4.

   

Slide

 

the

 

drive

 

into

 

the

 

left

 

drive

 

bay

 

until

 

it

 

stops.

Otherwise,

 

connect

 

the

 

power

 

cords

 

and

 

turn

 

on

 

the

 

server.

Complete

 

the

 

following

 

steps

 

to

 

remove

 

a

 

diskette

 

drive

 

from

 

your

 

server:

 

1.

   

Read

 

the

 

safety

 

information

 

beginning

 

on

 

page

 

 

and

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.

   

Turn

 

off

 

the

 

server

 

and

 

peripheral

 

devices,

 

and

 

disconnect

 

the

 

power

 

cords

 

and

 

all

 

external

 

devices

 

from

 

the

 

back

 

of

 

the

 

server.

 

3.

   

Push

 

the

 

drive-eject

 

button

 

to

 

the

 

right.

 

4.

   

Using

 

the

 

tab,

 

pull

 

the

 

diskette

 

drive

 

partially

 

out

 

of

 

the

 

server;

 

then,

 

grasp

 

the

 

drive

 

and

 

remove

 

it

 

from

 

the

 

server.

 

5.

   

If

 

you

 

have

 

other

 

options

 

to

 

install

 

or

 

remove,

 

do

 

so

 

now.

 

Otherwise,

 

connect

 

the

 

external

 

devices

 

and

 

power

 

cords,

 

and

 

turn

 

on

 

the
