supercells:

The average width of the hail swath is over 12.5 miles (20.2 km)

Sixty percent produce funnel clouds or tornadoes.

The classic pendant shape echo is shown in figure 5- 44. Note the

general pendant shape, the hook, and the steep rain gradient. This

storm is extremely dangerous and must be avoided.
