Carefully inser t the point of a pen or an unwound paperclip into the opening.

Press this switch.
If you press the factor y default button for less than 1/2 a second, the unit will continue to run as nor-
mal.
If you press the factor y default button for 3 seconds, when you release it, the Gateway will per form a 
factor y reset, clear all settings and configurations, except those saved as Saved Configuration(s). (See 
If you press the factor y default button for 6 seconds, when you release it, the Gateway will per form a 
factor y reset, clear all settings and configurations, including Saved Configurations, and reboot.
Power Outages
If you suspect that power was restored after a power outage and the Router is connected to a remote site, you 
may need to switch the Router off and then back on again. After temporar y power outages, a connection that 
still seems to be up may actually be disconnected. Rebooting the gateway should reestablish the connection.

Locate the Router’s model number, product serial number, and firmware version. The serial number is on 
the bottom of the gateway, along with the model number. The firmware version appears in the Motorola
