1 .     C o n n e c t   o n e   m a l e   8   p i n   m i n D I N   e n d   o f   t h e   S K T I N T - x x - M M   c a b l e   t o   a   f e m a l e   8   p i n   minDIN Keyboard and Mouse input port on the

     NTI KVM switch being used (see Fig. 3).   Switch the power ON to the KVM switch if it isn't already.

3 .     C o n n e c t   t h e   U S B   t y p e   B   m a l e   c o n n e c t o r   o f   t h e   U S B - A B - 0 . 5 M - 5 T   c a b l e   ( s e e   F i g .   4 )   t o   t h e   U S B   t y p e   B   f e m a l e   p o r t   o n   t h e   U S B -

     SUN adapter.

4 .     C o n n e c t   t h e   U S B   t y p e   A   m a l e   c o n n e c t o r   o f   t h e   U S B - A B - 0 . 5 M - 5 T   c a b l e   ( s e e   F i g .   5 )   t o   a   U S B   t y p e   A   f e m a l e   p o r t   o n   t h e   h o s t

     computer.    Note:  It is important to make this connection last, particularly if the host computer is already ON at the time of

     connection.

1.  Connect the 8 pin minDIN male connector of the SUN keyboard and mouse assembly into the female 8 pin m i n i D I N   p o r t

     o n   t h e   U S B - S U N   a d a p t e r .

2.  Continue with steps 3 and 4 above.
