VLAN Commands

Deleting the VLAN used by an access port will cause that port to become 

unusable until it is assigned a VLAN that exists. Creating a VLAN adds it to 

the allowed list for all trunk ports except for those where it is specifically 

excluded.

The following example shows how to create (add) VLAN of IDs 22, 23, and 

56.

console(config-vlan)#vlan 22,23,56

console(config-vlan)#

Use the vlan command in Global Configuration mode to configure a VLAN. 

To delete a VLAN, use the no form of this command.

vlan {

vlan–id | vlan–range}

no vlan {

vlan–id | vlan–range}

This command has no default configuration.

Global Configuration (Config)

vlan–id

A valid VLAN ID. (Range: 1–4093)

vlan–range

A list of valid VLAN IDs. List separate, non-consecutive VLAN 

IDs separated by commas (without spaces). Use a hyphen to 

designate a range of IDs. (Range: 1–4093)
