Removing the HDD

The following describes the procedure for removing the HDD. (See Figure 4-5 and 4-6.)

Caution: Take care not to press on the top or bottom of the HDD. Pressure may cause

data loss or damage to the device.

1. Turn the computer upside down.

2. Loosen the screw (with e-ring) fixing the HDD slot cover and remove the HDD

slot cover.

3. Pull out the HDD assembly from the slot of the computer.

Note: When removing the HDD assembly, be careful not to tear the laminate. If the
laminate is torn, replace it with a new one.

4. Disconnect the HDD FPC from the connector CN1800 of system board and the

connector of HDD assembly.
