Applying Hand/Foot Sensors
Neonatal hand or foot, for patients between 1kg and 4kg.

Adult or pediatric ear, for patients more than 40kg.

Step
Applying the Hand/Foot Sensor

Position the sensor over the hand or foot with optical components

Holding sensor, stretch strap slightly (not more than 2.5cm (1.0”).

Insert stretched strap into slot, hold it there while threading end

Inspect and change the sensor application site periodically.

Applying the Ear-Clip Sensor

To improve perfusion, massage or warm the ear lobe.

Clip probe onto fleshy part of the lobe. Plastic fixing mechanism
