Before assembling, make sure you have all

unit and inspect unit and components for 

any damage.

kits vary by model and may include a spark plug/screwdriver combination 

wrench, and a scraper. 

This unit comes fully assembled with the 

exception of the cutting attachment shield 

and cutting attachment.

Loosen the air cleaner cover knob

Reinstall the air cleaner cover.

The throttle lever free play should 

be approximately 3/16-1/4 inch (4-6 

mm). See Figure 6. Make sure that the 

throttle lever operates smoothly without 

binding.  

If it becomes necessary to adjust the 

lever free play, follow the procedures 

and illustrations that follow. 

Label shows minimum spacing for front handle location.

Position front handle for comfortable operation and secure screw.
