Play from an external device
You can also listen to an external audio player
through the device.
Connect through the MP3-LINK socket:

Connect an MP3 link cable (not supplied) to:
• the MP3-LINK socket on the back of
the device.
• the headphone socket on an external
audio player.

Start play on the external audio player and
adjust volume.

Connect through the OPTICAL or COAXIAL
socket:

Connect an optical or coaxial cable (not
supplied) to:
• the OPTICAL or COAXIAL socket on
the back of AW9000.
• the corresponding digital output socket
on an external audio device.

Start play on the external audio player and
adjust volume.

Connect through the AUX IN L/R sockets:

Connect a pair of RCA audio cables (red/
white; not supplied) to:
• the AUX IN L/R sockets on the back
of AW9000.
• the audio output sockets on an
external audio device.

Start play on the external audio player and
adjust volume.

To switch to the external audio source manually:

Run Philips AirStudio on your iOS or
Android smartphone or tablet.

Tap Services -> Philips AW9000.

Tap MP3Link, Digital-In Coaxial, Digital-
In Optical or AUX on the home screen
of the app to select the respective audio
input source.

You can also press a source key on AW9000 to select
the corresponding audio source directly.
