Receiving an SMS on the Device

Paper Not Inserted Correctly

SMS Reception

Received SMS messages are printed out automatically. If

you have turned the automatic printing function off, the

SMS messages will be stored. Your device can store up to

30 SMSs.

Reading an SMS on the Device

After reception of a  new SMS message, the  ä key

lights up.

Press ä.

Select the SMS using [.

Press ä. The Read SMS menu opens.

Press OK, 62 and OK.

Using [ select the SMS that you would like to read.

Unread SMS messages are marked with a *.

Confirm with OK.

Press STOP to return to the SMS list.

SMS Functions on the Device

While reading an SMS message, press OK to load addi-

tional SMS functions.

Use [ to select an option: You can display informa-

tion about the SMS messa ge, print or delete the mes-

sage, forward the message to another recipient or send

an SMS response. You can return to the list  of SMS

messages, or view the next or previous SMS message.

Confirm with OK.

Printing an SMS on the Device

Press OK, 63 and OK.

Using [ select the SMS message you would like to

print.
PRINT: ALL—Prints  all received  and  composed

SMS messages that you have saved
PRINT: INBOX—Prints all received SMS messages
PRINT: OUTBOX—Prints  all sen t  SMS messages

that you have saved
PRINT: NEW—Prints all unread SMS messages

Confirm with OK.

Deleting an SMS on the Device

SMS Deletion Introduction

If the message memory is full, the device cannot receive

any more messages. Delete SMS messages to free up mem-

ory.

Press OK, 64 and OK.

Use [ to select the SMS messages you would like to

delete:
DELETE: ALL SMS—Deletes all received and com-

posed SMS messages that you have saved
DELETE: READ SMS—Deletes all read SMS mes-

sages
DELETE: SENT SMS—Deletes all sent SMS mes-

sages that you have saved

Confirm with OK.

Confirm the deletion with OK.

Paper Not Inserted Correctly
Check if you have  inserted clamped paper cor-

rectly. The lever on the right hand side next to

the paper feeder must be folded backwards.

Navigating and Printing
You  can  move the cur sor  using  [.  Press
COPY

 to print the SMS message.

Calling Further SMS Functions
Press OK to call additional SMS functions.

SMS in Ireland
Some providers do not include the entire tele-

phone number of the SMS sender. In such cases

a direct response to the SMS message will not be

delivered. Instead, create a new SMS message.

Pay attention when entering the area code.

Printing an Individual SMS message
If you would like to print an individual SMS

message, load the message. Press COPY to

print the message.

Deleting Single SMS Message
If you would like to delete an individual SMS

message,  load th e  message. Pr ess  OK,  and

using [ to select DELETE. Confirm with
OK
