Installing ActiveSync

Using Microsoft

ActiveSync

you can synchronize

information on your computer and/or a Microsoft

Exchange

Server with the information on your device. ActiveSync
compares the information on your device with the information
on your computer and/or the server and updates all locations,
keeping you up-to-date with the most recent information.

Before you start to synchronize files and data with your PC, you
must install ActiveSync on your PC from the PPC6601
Companion CD. ActiveSync is already installed on your Smart
Device.

Note:

Before installing ActiveSync and connecting your PPC6601 to your PC,
you must have Microsoft

Outlook

98 or later installed on your PC.

Installing the Software

To install the ActiveSync software on your Computer:
1. Insert the PPC6601 Companion CD into the
CD-ROM drive of your computer.
2. Click the yellow arrow, click Start Here, and then follow
the directions on the screen.
