PRODUCTION ANALYSIS

Production analysis allows a group of bonds and other securities with varying interest rates, maturities,
prices and yields, to be totaled and averaged, as in a portfolio, using the production function.

ENTRY SEQUENCE FOR PRODUCTION ANALYSIS
The securities are entered and calculated in the usual manner, except that all securities must have the
same settlement date throughout the production.  For accruing interest before the settlement date, enter
the dated date on the ISSUE/DATED key for the applicable securities.

Start the production calculation by pressing the BEGIN, PROD keys.  This sequence will clear issue
memory.

Proceed with security calculations as needed, calculating price, yield, concession, and extension
information for each individual issue.

Then, store the security in issue memory.  As you proceed with the next group of securities, you needn’t
enter information, which has not changed since the last group, such as coupon, maturity or call feature.
Remember  to enter any applicable concession after each price or yield calculation.

When the last security has been stored, press DISPLAY, PROD to accumulate the securities stored in
issue memory.  The total par amount of all securities will be displayed.  Then the production totals and
averages may be displayed sequentially using the PROD key.  Entering the sequence number and
pressing the PROD key will directly display the corresponding summary.

The sequence number and associated production summary follows:
