This unit is equipped with a digital signal processing circuit that lets you play program sources in the surround mode to achieve the same sense of presence as in a movie theater.

This table shows the speakers that can be used in each surround mode and the surround parameters adjustable in each surround mode.

S  This indicates the audio output channels or surround parameters that can be set.

z1  During playback in PURE DIRECT mode, the surround parameters are the same as in DIRECT mode.
z2  A signal for each channel contained in an input signal is output as audio.
z3  If “Surround Parameters” – “PLgz Height” (

) is set to “ON”, sound is output from the front height speakers.

z4  Only when “Subwoofer Mode” is set to “LFE+Main” (

), sound is output from the subwoofer.

z5  If this surround mode is selected, only the “Height” mode setting is available for “Surround Parameters” – “Mode” (

z6  For HD Audio whose sampling frequency of an input signal is more than 96 kHz, this sound parameter cannot be set.
z7  This item cannot be set when “Surround Parameters” – “Surround Back” (
