Overview
This chapter describes the commands for:

When deploying a 5100/6100 VDR, you should set up the LAN interface first and then the WAN
interface.
Once the 5100/6100 VDR is initialized through a serial connection, you can telnet to the 5100/

services in Chapter 4 “Configuring the VDR.” Table 3-1 lists the manufacturer’s defaults for the
5100/6100 VDR interfaces.
If the Ethernet IP address and subnet mask have already been changed, you need to use that
address to access the 5100/6100 VDR.
