Captions (Caption/Text Setup)
Caption/Text are features which allow the TV to receive the closed caption and/or
text options if made available by the broadcaster.
Availability and functionality of Caption/Text options are determined only by each
broadcaster and may not be available in your area.
Standard closed captioning is available using the Caption 1 option.

Mini glossary 
CAPTIONS
The term for the words that scroll across the bottom of your TV screen; usually the audio portion of the program 
provided for the hearing impaired. 
TEXT
The term for the words that appear in a large black frame and almost cover the entire screen; usually messages 
provided by the broadcaste
r.
Set up Closed Caption/Text options for the user
Closed Captions/Text Operating Modes Setup
Use MENU, SELECT (Up arrow), and ADJ (Left/Right) arrows to choose the
Closed Captions/Text mode and to set up other menu options for the user.
Quick/Mute
When CC is pressed: User can only turn Captions On/Off.
(If CC on Mute is On, shows captions option on mute.)
(If locked, type is retained with Power On/Off.)
Standard
When CC is pressed: User can choose a captions type.
(If locked, type is retained with Power On/Off.)
Press ENTER to remove menus.
