NSA-2400 User’s Guide

To reset the admin password, NSA-2400 IP address and NSA-2400 subnet mask (only) to the 
factory default settings:

1 Use a pointed object to press and hold the RESET button for two seconds. Release the 

button when you hear a beep. 

2 The DIAG LED turns orange and blinks quickly indicating that the process has started. 
3 The NSA-2400 beeps again when finished and the DIAG LED will turn off.

Reloading the factory default configuration file resets the admin password, NSA-2400 IP 
address and NSA-2400 subnet mask to the default settings AND erases all other 
configurations such as user/group/share names, passwords and share access rights. To reload 
the factory default configuration file:

1 Use a pointed object to press and hold the RESET button for ten seconds to reload the 

factory default file. Release the button when you hear the second beep. 

2 The DIAG LED turns orange and blinks quickly indicating that the process has started. 
3 The NSA-2400 beeps again when finished and the DIAG LED will turn off.

The NSA-2400 automatically restarts to complete reloading the factory default 
configuration file.

Release the RESET button after two seconds (you will hear one beep) to reset the admin 
password and NSA-2400 IP address. Release the RESET button after ten seconds (you will 
hear two consecutive beeps) to reload the factory default configuration file (resets and erases 
all other configurations on the NSA-2400)!

You should back up the current NSA-2400 configuration file before resetting or 
reloading the factory default configuration file.
