Your new POS-X scanner has been pre-configured to the most common settings found amongst scanners in the US.
If you are integrating this scanner into a pre-existing system, you may need to configure your scanner to replicate the
same formatting used by your previous barcode scanner. Often times extra digits appear or are missing from the front
or end of a barcode number.

If your barcode scanner is not outputting the correct barcode, plug your new scanner into your computer and scan a
barcode into ‘Notepad’. Compare the barcode number you see in Notepad to the barcode with the correct formatting.
If the numbers do not match up, configuration of your scanner will be needed.

To begin configuration, scan ‘Enter Setup’, then the desired effect, then ‘Save’ to complete the process. Repeat
process until desired formatting is achieved. For more formatting options, see included floppy.
